Being one of the busiest hotels in down town of Johor Bahru, the tasks to carry out the refurbishment works from Entrance Porch, Main Lobby, common corridor, Ballroom, meeting room and Arcade requires carefully planning of all tasks and its sequencing.

The affected area was shut down in phases and diversion of the reception counter and lobby were carried out to ensure the hotel operation will not be hindered. During construction work, many restrictions faced on site, such as limited noise works for demolition works, interfacing of new and old M&E services and merging of new and existing finishes.

The Main Lobby was brighten up with the new stone flooring matching with Sycamore veneered panels and stone cladded columns. The railing along the void area at centre of the lobby was replaced with glass panel with timber railing mounted with stainless steel bracket and a back lite feature wall that extended to the upper floor give the Main Lobby and Pre-function area a double volume space.
